Bad JuJu

I don't know what is going on, if it is the change in weather or what, but we have been SICK SICK in this house.
Both of the girls are on antibiotics for ear infections/pink eye. And no, they didn't come down with it the exact same time, so it required 2 trips to the Dr. and 3 trips to the pharmacy. Not to mention the 2 showings we had in the midst of it all. Needless to say, I was home from work the whole week, and very anxious to get out of the house. (The last ppl that looked at the house want a 2nd showing...crossing fingers now!) Good news is that they seem to be on the mend, and hopefully will be back to normal soon.
Outside of the sickness, I am busy with my shop, and planning a bridal shower for my soon to be sis-in-law! So very excited. I am having fun scouring the internet for games and decor ideas. I am going to finish up the shopping today, and them baking cinnamon rolls to freeze later on. I am excited to see it all come together.

Bitty #2 is also 10 months today. I. CANNOT. believe. it.  :(
It seems like just yesterday we were headed off to the hospital, and then brought all 9.3lbs of her home. So many people are having babies recently and I just want to say, DONT BLINK. Cause then they are 5, then 18, and leaving home. I can't imagine my baby in school. And we are registering for Kindergarten this week. I am going to be a mom to a school aged kid? That just doesn't seem possible. There will definitely be tears, and they won't be coming from my 5 year old....
Ok, I don't want to dwell on that anymore. Monthday pictures to come....

P.S. Anyone use the good Amazon diaper/wipes deal? I'd love to hear about your savings! And last time I checked, we were in the top 200 on TMB. So thanks for your votes and keep them coming! :)

Coupons & Diapers & Wipes OH MY!

So those who know me, know that I am a shopper and that I LOVE a good deal. And this one is just too good not to share. If you are friends with me on facebook then you know that I shared with you all a while back about getting a subscription to Parenting (the early years) magazine. The reason for that was the Amazon coupons that sometimes hide inside. Most recently, I have gotten these coupons from the February issue of American Baby (a FREE magazine, if you don't already get it, sign up here) and the March issue of Parents magazine. The first is a coupon good for 20% off, and the second is a coupon for $10 off. Utilizing the right one with your purchases can maximize your discount. ALSO, very important, YOU CAN COMBINE COUPONS!!!! Thats right, the different coupons can be combined (ex. 20% off and $10 off). I needed more then one item, so I used them seperately. Here is an example of my recent purchases:

Gdiapers flushable inserts 32 ct (4 packages)
Normally $52.00 (apx. $0.40/diaper)
Amazon Mom discount 15%
Subscribe and Save discount 15%
Coupon discount 20%

Sign up ASAP for the free memberships and subscriptions to start getting great deals on the necessary evils of diapers and wipes. (good for pull-ups too)
Recommended that you also subscribe to Parents and Parenting the early years Magazines to gain access to extra coupons. The coupons are not in every issue, but between the 3 you could pretty much always have a coupon to use.
Hope this helps you all save some dough!

IF YOU FIND THIS USEFUL, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY LEAVING A COMMENT AND BEING SO KIND AS TO VOTING FOR ME ON TMB! (Top Mommy Blogs- link to your right)

Birthday Weekend

I know this post is a little late, but better late then never. Last weekend, I turned 25. Yay! I am working my way closer to the age I actually feel!
The hubbee and I got to get away for a night to the mountains and enjoyed a very relaxing evening. The next day we met back up at Gma and Papas who graciously watched the girls for us. We had a DELICIOUS steak dinner followed by yummy ice-cream cake. {One of my favs.} I got a super cute wallet from Brighton, and a pair of Dansko shoes! (Whoot, I always wanted these for school, and now I have some for work. Boy do I feel like a real nurse now)

What is love

And no, I'm not singing a song....
HA
So with Valentines Day around the corner, I just thought I'd share with you what I know about love. I share my love with a very special person, that I am so grateful to know and love. He is, true love. He is there for me when I am up, and there for me when I am down. He adores our girls, and cares so deeply for his family. I know he would do anything for us. He still gives me the butterflies, after close to 6 years of marriage. He makes years feel likes days, and yet I feel like I have known him for ages. And that my friends is love. It can't be explained in words, described by feelings, or shared through experiences. It is something much deeper that any of those can portray. To be loved and to love is THE greatest gift you can give. And I dedicate this to my loving and adoring HUBBEE.
You are the love of my life

Thank you for all you do and all you give. Thank you for being who you are and loving me for who I am.
Always,

Happy 3/4 of a year baby girl!

So bitty #2 is 9 months old....
I feel quite sentimental. This year I turn 1/4 of a century. I love being a young mom (most days). I feel like I have the energy to keep up (most days). However, as the days, month, and years pass, I feel growth. I feel like I gain patience, understanding and strength. This helps make me the mom I am today. There is a maturity in handling situations differently, seeking to explain why to my 4 year old and so forth. I wouldn't have done it any way and I am thankful for the 2 little gifts I have in my life. They make me a better person everyday. Now on to some stats!!!

Bitty definitely did some growing :)

9 months
Weight of 19lbs 11oz
Height of 28 1/2 inches

At her age, Bitty #1 was 16lbs 10 oz. 28 1/4 inches.

At her age, I was somewhere around 20-21lbs and 28 inches

Bitty eats and eats and eats!! She is still bf'ing 4 times a day as well as eating baby food and finger food 3 times daily. She loves pretty much anything that is edible at this point. She is rolling, crawling backwards only, and sitting. Seems to be quite content to just do those. Still has the two bottom teeth, and working on at least one of the top ones. It is getting very close to popping through. She is napping 2 times a day for a total of 2-3 hours, and sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT for 10-11 hours. She is a content baby, loves her toys, sister and  the only word she really says is DA-DA. Recently, she has started clapping and it is too stinkin cute. I love all the baby  milestones.

Check out these new hair duds in the shop

I am working on this lovely Super Bowl weekend. We have another showing on the house, and the weather is still cold. (above zero, but I'm ready for Spring) That pretty much sums up our weekend around here! Hope you all have a great one!

New Tricks!

Bitty #2 started clapping, and it is just too cute for words. So here is an adorable video!

It is super duper cold here today, schools were cancelled in advance due to the weather. I would call it a snow day, but we have no snow...only -14 here currently! (p.s. I don't live in ND for this reason)

Here is proof that Bitty #1 is in constant motion. She has to be otherwise, how could she stay warm in such a silly outfit?

Here are some recent pics of the bittys
