Just a tip....

Life can be cut short. Please wear your seat belt!
This morning on my way to swimming with the bittys I came across a rollover accident minutes after it happened. Minutes can be a long time for someone trapped in a vehicle. The car was resting on its axle tipped in the air and was ready to fall either direction. This prevented us from getting to the woman inside until the firetrucks arrived. I think she is going to survive, but it was just a scary reminder of what can happen in a split-second. Please be safe, do NOT text and drive, and WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT!!!! (she was not)

I am exhausted from the week....I actually worked all of my scheduled shifts and so I am really lacking in the sleep department. I work from 3-11:30pm with an hour commute on both ends, and the past couple of nights I have worked overtime. I usually crawl into be around 1:30-1:45 after getting home and pumping. My brain takes a little while to slow down and I would say I fall asleep sometime shortly after 2am. Then I am up with the bittys at around 7:30am give or take a half hour! This week we have also had swimming 3/5 of the days which is really great but wearing me out!! I am excited that it is finally Friday and the weekend is upon us :)
I haven't seen my hubbee since Monday night either unless you count me getting into bed at 2, and him getting out at 4:15. I was totally looking forward to relaxing and doing nothing tonight, but we got a call for a showing tomorrow am and now I have to work on the Mt. Everest pile of laundry and dishes that have accumulated over the week. Yippee!!!

Sidenote:
Bitty #2 is 9 mos old today. She has her check up on Monday so I am going to do her monthday post then. I cannot believe how fast time is flying and that it is almost February! I will turn a quarter-century old next month! (still young, I know)...

I am wondering if you all have any requests for the next giveaway from my shop. Everyone who comments and suggests something on this post will get a special discount code e-mailed to them and then at the next giveaway will count as an extra entry!!! {please put e-mail in comment}

Touching base

Hey There! So colossal fail at blogging more.....at least for the time being. Ha ha. That's ok, I will give you the past little while in a nutshell.

Bitty #1 has started back to swimming lessons. She was taking them about a year ago and doing great, until she wasn't. lol. She totally hit a wall and shut down, refused to do anything but cry for the entire lesson. So now we are back at it and she is doing GREAT, remembered everything from last time, and is eager to learn so much more. I love it. She is currently taking lessons a couple times a week. Starting this Friday, I am also going to try out a mommy and me class for bitty #2. She appears to love the water, so I am anxious to see how she will do!

Last week we also continued our annual tradition of going to the National Western Stockshow and Rodeo with my family. Bitty #1 was super excited as she remember most everything from last year and was "excited to see the cowboys and crazy kids" She was referring to the cowboys yes, and the kids doing mutton busting. Maybe she will try it next year???? {I don't have any pictures from this :( }

I am actually working this week as our census has jumped back up from the Holiday break. It takes a little adjusting to get back into a routine after having been soo intermittent. On the side I am still creating and slowly adding goodies to my shop. I really just love making things and hope someone else can enjoy it as well. Lately my inspiration has been some wedding hair accessories. My brother is getting married in a few months and so I am having fun with designing some goodies for that. I am thinking of doing a little game/giveaway when I get better stocked, so stay tuned for that. If you have any products suggestions or are wanting something specific, let me know and I will try to make it for you! I love a good challenge!

Other then that just the same old. I wish it was more interesting...or maybe I am ok with same old. Really, I think I am :)

Until next time,

Life Happens

Well, we all know this don't we? But I have been reminded as of late that we are all human and we all err. None of us are above the other. I will spare you the details, but sometimes life happens, we deal and move on.  Today I am thankful that I have fresh air to breath, and this life, which is a gift. I'm also thankful for this beautiful day (currently 46 degrees outside)   : )

So we all knew my resolution was ambitious, but I guess I thought I could do it. However, blogging is not my top priority and when life happens, I have to respond. I am wanting to blog more and document the bitty's lives, but I am not going to put a number on it. I think this will work much better for me!

Oh what fun it is to ride

behind the mower on your sled! The high so far today is 9 above. What a brave little girl I have! On the other hand, maybe the cold air will help clear her head, she has been quite naughty as of late. (see facebook post)

A good deal

So I am a bargain shopper, always have been, and afraid I always will. I came across this site and am really liking it. It's called NoMoreRack. It has 8 different deals everyday that go live at 12pm EST. (really, on the dot, and you have to be speedy) The deals are usually that good. I've recieved my first order from them and was really excited and pleased. They have a variety of products from household goods to toys, jewelry and clothes. The other day they had Coach handbags for $70. And they were CUTE. Not rejects of any kind. So I feel obligated to pass on good deals I find, because I love it when I can help others save money as well. And right now, you can get a free $10 gift card for joining. A lot of the items are easily under that, sometimes as low as $3! And shipping is a flat $2 per item and is covered by the gift card. So I encourage you to check this out. Get the deals and see if anything you are looking for comes up!

This is totally random, but I have been needing a hand mixer.  Walmart and a couple other places had them for $3 on black friday, but I am not really a black friday shopper. One day I opened my email and saw they had them as a deal for $7. (See, random I told you) I didn't think you could beat $3 but FREE sure beats that!!! If you join, let me know what your experience ends up being! I am sure you will find an awesome deal (or two)! I will post pictures of my stuff when I get it.

Click here to join and get your $10

P.S. I know this sounds like a sales pitch and I apologize if you take it that way...I really is not, I have had good luck with this site and am excited about the products you can get for so cheap if not free :)

I'm not that mom

I can't help but notice every time that I'm out and about, I see women/mothers who look like they are all put together. Their hair is done, make-up on, cute outfits etc. I am constantly asking myself, where do they find the time to do all of that? Obviously, they must make it a priority. I am not saying that I am a disheveled mess every time I go out, but I most certainly do not put emphasis on my appearance like that. I'm lucky if I have the three of us dressed and out of pajamas...
I would say there are maybe 3-4 times a year where I do get "dolled" up. This would occur on special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, and maybe our anniversary. Even then, I would consider getting "dolled up" to include blow drying my hair instead of air drying, maybe even using a curling iron (wow, lets not get carried away right?), curling my eyelashes and applying cover up/makeup. Then I would wear an outfit which only took me 2 hours to decide on after trying on countless options. I know what you're thinking now...HOLY COW Where did she come from??
So lets say on an average day, I shower, comb out my hair, get dressed, and then pull my hair back. Get the kids dressed and head out. Not much thought really goes into my appearance. So today, I am thankful for
that. Thank the bitty's who keep me from spending too much time on how I look ;-)
Today I am also thankful for
21. our wood-burning pellet stove to keep us warm in these new-found cold temperatures
22. left over cookies from last night for breakfast :)
23. shorter work days for the hubbee
24. a new perfume which doesn't give me a headache
25. cozy new slippers
26. sunshine
27. 4wd vehicles
28. a good washer and dryer (washing diapers reminds me of this often)
29. supportive friends and family
30. a passion to create  things

New Year...New ?

I am not a fan of New Year's resolutions per say, I'd like to think that when a subject matter needing work is brought to my attention, at any time of the year, I resolve to do better. However, its hard at the start of a new year to not look back and see things you'd like to have/be/do/see differently.

I took a little gander back at my blog and realized I talk too much. Not in the sense of postings but just blabbing. Maybe you all appreciate it but for myself, I would like to be taking more notes of what is going on in our little "hive". More of the bittys and recent happenings. So essentially, less talk more action...

My little goal is to post a picture EVERYDAY. In short, the 365 project. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so this blog is about to get very wordy!!!

I take pictures with every intent to blog, but I know I put too much thought into it sometimes and think its too difficult/time consuming at the moment. Uploading a quick picture or two shouldnt take long and therefor I am persuaded that I CAN DO THIS!
Stay tuned to see how this resolution turns out, I'm quite optimistic myself :)
